Light Therapy
– works on acne by targeting a type of bacteria that is found on everyone’s skin called propionibacterium acnes, or P. acnes. The bacteria produces chemicals called porphyrins that spread in the pores of the skin – it is this bacterium that plays a role in how inflamed. Light Therapy can be used to offer antiseptic, germicidal and antibacterial effects as well as reducing swelling and calming acne. Sebum production is normalised, aiding refinement of the skin.
